STEVE SCHUH ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR HOUSE OF DELEGATES

PASADENA, MD (Sunday, November 6, 2005) – Steve Schuh officially announced his candidacy for the House of Delegates, District 31, during his campaign kick-off event on Friday evening before a crowd of over 500 supporters at the Earleigh Heights Fire Company. The district is currently represented by Delegates John Leopold, Don Dwyer, and Joan Cadden. District 31 consists of Pasadena, Glen Burnie, Brooklyn Park, northern Severna Park, eastern Millersville, and portions of northeast Anne Arundel County with a Baltimore zip code.

“I was inspired by President Reagan’s vision for America, his conservative philosophy, and his collegial approach to governance,” said Steve Schuh. “I have decided to run for the House of Delegates to make a positive difference in our community. I will work hard to emulate John Leopold’s example of statesmanship, work ethic, constituent service and adherence to mainstream conservative principles.”

“Steve Schuh is the right man to follow in the footsteps of John Leopold,” said John Kane, Chairman of the Maryland State Republican Party. “Steve has the necessary experience in business and in the community to make a real difference.”

Delegate Leopold read a letter from former Congresswomen Marjorie Holt, which read in part "It is very inspiring to see a person of Steve's quality willing to offer himself for public office... Steve is a man of integrity.... I strongly support Steve Schuh."

Steve Schuh was born in Maryland and raised in Anne Arundel County. He currently resides in Gibson Island, near Pasadena, with his wife and two teenage children. He earned an undergraduate degree in Government and Economics from Dartmouth College and received masters’ degrees in business and education from Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University, respectively. Mr. Schuh stands for limited government and lower taxes, traditional family values, and protection of our Constitutional rights. Mr. Schuh has over 20 years of business experience as a financial advisor to health care companies.
